Wild and unspoiled Sierra Morena mountain range

The mountain range in the outskirts of the city goes by the name of Sierra Morena. It is a popular place for picnics and walks which still keeps some wild and unspoiled corners far from the city, as this one so-called "Los Riscos de Guadanuño". This group of hills is surrounded North and South by the Rivers Guadiato and Guadanuño, which further ahead become feeders of the great River Guadalquivir.

Needless to say, it is an area for experienced hikers where granite formations are abundant in the landscape. Vultures can be seen in the highest peaks (pay attention to the picture below) ans snakes can be found in the driest months of summer.
